Preface

SEHYOG VIKAS SAMITI (SVS )has emerge as the largest people based NGO in the south district of Badarpur Delhi Bahraich,Uttar Pradesh. The introduction of multifarious schemes of the SVS, serves the rural sector of the population,women, Children and youth.

Our approach is target oriented, time bound, realistic and optimum yielding results. SVS has two areas of operation: one is the semi-urban of Delhi and Faridabad and the other is the Bisheshwarganj block of District Bahraich U.P. Here, we educate, organize and undertake activities for holistic development with their participants. Our main task is to facilitate development and support to get all inputs for a holistic development.

SEHYOG VIKAS SAMITI , over a period of time, has experimented, experienced and learnt and over this process, has attained confidence and growth with knowledge. The successful and proven experiences of working models, effectiveness of approaches and strategies, success stories of community empowerment along with failures, lessons learnt and felt challenges are to be shared, scaled and replicated by us. SVS is striving for it in collaboration with other like minded organizations and during this process, concerns and interests of marginalized communities are gaining collective and stronger voice.

Poorest Area Civil Society Programme  (PACS)  which is being supported by DFID & Development Alternatives and Sure Start Project have given new heights to the organization. The members and executive board of SVS have always been a source of encouragement and has cooperated in its efforts. The committed teams involved in various projects have worked very hard to achieve the ambitious goals and the collaboration NGOs and other institutions have extended their fullest support to our initiatives. It was not possible to undertake the activities without the assistance of resource institutions for technical and financial needs. We are thankful to all those who have helped SVS directly and indirectly.

Above all, we are grateful to the communities with whom we are working, for accepting SVS and sharing their knowledge.
